Notary Services Explained
A notary public is a state-commissioned official who serves as an impartial witness to the signing of important documents. The notary verifies the identity of signers, confirms they are signing voluntarily, and applies an official seal and signature to authenticate the document. Notarization helps prevent fraud and is required for many legal, financial, and government documents.
Common documents that require a notary include: power of attorney, wills and trusts, affidavits and sworn statements, real estate deeds and property transfers, loan documents and mortgage signings, vehicle title transfers, divorce and custody agreements, business contracts, immigration affidavits, and consent forms for minor travel. If you're unsure whether your document needs notarization, contact us and we'll help.
A mobile notary is a commissioned notary public who travels to your location instead of requiring you to visit an office. DTX Mobile Notary serves clients at their homes, offices, hospitals, care facilities, detention centers, or any agreed-upon location throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We bring everything needed — seal, journal, and expertise.
A notary signing agent is a notary with specialized training in loan and real estate documents. They guide borrowers through mortgage closings, refinances, and real estate transactions — ensuring every page is properly signed, initialed, and notarized. DTX offers loan signing services for title companies, lenders, and escrow companies throughout DFW.

Important: A notary public cannot give legal advice, explain the contents of your documents, or tell you whether you should sign. If you have legal questions about your document, consult an attorney before your appointment.

Booking & What to Expect
We serve the full Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex including Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Richardson, Garland, Mesquite, Irving, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Carrollton, Lewisville, Denton, Fort Worth, and surrounding cities. Travel fees are calculated based on your location at the time of booking.
Have your valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID ready (driver's license, state ID, or passport). Make sure your documents are complete and ready to sign — do not sign them before the notary arrives, as signatures must be witnessed in person. All signers listed on the document must be present at the appointment.
Yes. This is one of the most important benefits of mobile notary service. We regularly travel to hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers to notarize power of attorney, healthcare directives, and other time-sensitive documents for patients who cannot travel. Contact us directly to discuss scheduling for bedside appointments.
Yes. Our After Hours service is available 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM nightly for urgent notarizations. Traffic Jam hours (3:00 PM – 6:30 PM) are also available and subject to a higher travel fee due to DFW traffic conditions. We understand documents don't always wait for business hours.
A Texas notary can notarize a document in any language as long as the notarial certificate itself is in English. The notary does not need to read or understand the document's content — their role is to verify the identity of the signer and witness the signature, not to interpret the document.
Texas law allows a signature by mark for individuals who cannot write. The signer makes a mark (an X, for example) in the presence of the notary and a witness. Contact us in advance for these situations so we can prepare appropriately and ensure full compliance with Texas notarial law.
Pricing depends on the service type, number of signatures, time of day, and your location. Texas caps the state notary fee at $6 per notarial act, but mobile notaries are permitted to charge travel fees on top of that. Our pricing is transparent and displayed at booking. A 4% processing fee applies to card payments.
